From local priorities to community projects

Project explainer: how ward meetings, local planning and community review help turn needs into practical improvements.

RSDP’s community-driven approach starts with local priorities. During mobilisation and planning, ward development meetings create space for communities to discuss their needs.

Service mapping, ward profiles and development plans help turn these discussions into proposals. Communities are involved again when proposed subprojects are reviewed, and later when completed work is evaluated.

This participation runs alongside technical support, local-level government review and provincial coordination. The goal is to connect the decisions people make with the services and infrastructure they use.
